Peer Review Process

We use double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by two experts. The review process may take 1-2 months.

The reviewers will determine whether the article should be published at READ based on the following criteria:

  1. Are the concerns in this article important to the field of English language and education studies?
  2. Is the title clear and appropriate for the content of the manuscript?
  3. Does the abstract summarize the article clearly and effectively?
  4. Does the introduction provide meaningful purpose to the manuscript?
  5. Is the literature review appropriate and adequate?
  6. Are the objectives set clearly?
  7. Are the techniques used appropriate for the collection and analysis of the data?
  8. Are the findings expressed clearly? 
  9. Is the presentation of the findings adequate and consistent?
  10. Are the tables and figures, if any, arranged and explained well?
  11. Are the suggestions meaningful, valid, and based on the findings?
  12. Are the implications logical or pertinent to the manuscript?
  13. Are the conclusions and generalizations based on the findings?
  14. Are the conclusions drawn reasonable and linked to other studies on the topic?
  15. Are the references current and sufficient?
  16. Is the language clear and understandable?
  17. Is cohesion achieved throughout the article?
  18. Does the format of manuscript follow JIMM submission guidelines?
