Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Journal Elementary of Education (JEE) undergoes a rigorous review and evaluation process to maintain academic quality and scientific integrity. JEE implements a double-blind peer review system in which both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed to ensure objectivity, fairness, and independent assessment throughout the review process.
The review process begins with an initial editorial screening conducted by the editorial team to evaluate the manuscript’s suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, writing format, and completeness of submission requirements. At this stage, the manuscript is also examined using plagiarism detection software to ensure that the similarity index does not exceed the journal’s established limit.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to at least two reviewers who have expertise relevant to the subject area of the manuscript. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several aspects, including originality, scientific contribution, research methodology, data analysis, quality of discussion, relevance of references, and clarity of writing.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide one of the following:
- Accepted without revision
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Accepted with major revisions
- Rejected
Authors who are required to revise their manuscripts must submit the revised version within the specified timeframe by addressing all comments and suggestions provided by the reviewers. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection is made by the editor based on the reviewers’ evaluations and the journal’s editorial policies. The entire peer review process is conducted professionally, objectively, transparently, and in accordance with publication ethics standards.
